3.4 Step 3: Encrypt the Transaction Object

• The transaction object created in Step 1 must first be encrypted before it can sent to the Payment Gateway.
• The Vodacom Payment Gateway enables merchants to specify and update their own encryption password on the Vodacom Payment Gateway Merchant Administration site.
• The transaction object must be encrypted using either Blowfish, AES, or TwoFish encryption algorithms.
• In order to use the encryption a shared encryption password must be created on Vodacom Payment Gateway Merchant portal.
• To set the payment gateway encryption password, do the following:
• Login to Merchant Admin site URL
• QA: https://qa.vodacompaymentgateway.co.za/PayserverAdmin
• PROD: https://psp.vodacompaymentgateway.co.za/PayserverAdmin
• Navigate to PayServer Menu Option.
• Click on "Set Keys" to save a new key or update an existing key. The encryption key must not exceed 100 characters in length.
